Sweetwater Propane is a small locally owned faith-based company providing reliable propane service across southern Pennsylvania and the Finger Lakes region of New York. With a focus on integrity respect and community the team values its people and works to make a meaningful impact every day.
What Youll Do as a Propane Bobtail Driver:
- Deliver propane safely and on schedule to homes farms and businesses.
- Operate a propane bobtail while following all safety and transportation regulations.
- Inspect your truck daily and keep it clean and well-maintained.
- Report any safety issues damage or maintenance needs.
- Provide friendly professional service to customers on every stop.
- Participate in an on-call rotation for after-hours and emergency deliveries.
- Work outdoors and drive in a variety of weather conditions.
- Travel locally (typically within 35 miles of the shop).
Our Ideal Propane Bobtail Driver:
- Certifications: Must be 25 with a valid Class A or B CDL and Hazmat Tanker and Air Brake endorsements; must pass DOT physical and drug screen.
- Safety-focused: Prioritizes safety follows regulations and takes responsibility for doing the job right.
- Professional: Shows up consistently represents the company well and communicates clearly with customers.
- Adaptable: Handles changing conditions schedules and situations with a steady problem-solving mindset.
- Team-oriented: Manages routes and responsibilities while staying connected and working well with others.
- Tech-capable: Basic computer skills for tracking deliveries and completing documentation.
- Physical Requirements: Able to lift and handle equipment weighing 50-75 lbs.
What We Offer Our Propane Bobtail Driver:
- Full-time position Monday-Friday 6:00 AM-5:00 PM (hours may extend during winter months)
- On-call rotation for Saturdays during the winter season
- $28/hour depending on experience
