Our client is seeking an experienced Draughtsperson to design draft and prepare accurate mechanical and plant layout drawings. The role requires strong attention to detail and the ability to support manufacturing and assembly through precise technical drawings and effective collaboration with production teams.
Responsibilities
- Preparing general arrangement drawings
- Designing and drafting detailed machine and part drawings
- Preparing manufacturing drawings
- Conducting site measurements and layouts
- Creating plant layout drawings
- Assisting other draughtsmen with design support and detail checking
- Liaising with the production team regarding the manufacture and design of parts
- Checking the functioning of newly manufactured parts and assemblies
Requirements
- Diploma in Draughting NQF Level 6
- Mechanical Engineering qualification NQF Level 5 or higher advantageous
- At least 5 years experience
- Project-related draughting experience
- Mechanical design experience
- Autodesk Inventor experience
- AutoCAD experience
