Under the direction of the Chief Nursing Officer & Director of Nursing the Nursing Supervisor is responsible for the supervision of the hospital. They assume responsibility for the coordination of age appropriate patient care activities in the absence of the CNO utilizing knowledge of standards policies and procedures outlined for the facility. They coordinate nursing care activities within the nursing services in the absence of the Unit Directors and provide overall management of the facility. They maintain a high degree of confidentiality and support the mission vision and values of the organization. 12-hour shifts BSN ED experience required Graduate of an accredited school of nursing BSN Preferred Current licensure as a registered nurse in the State of Maine or Authorization to Practice pending licensure by endorsement BCLS ACLS PALS Minimum 4 years acute care experience Demonstrates clinical proficiency in the age appropriate care of patients using the nursing process Demonstrates leadership skills with strengths in communications organization management of conflict and problem-solving Ability to function independently Ability to act rapidly and efficiently in emergency situations
