Outpatient Genetic Counselor Role in Portland OR. - 0 NBO - 4 days per week 8 hour days. OFF Wednesday Saturday and Sunday every week. - Outpatient Clinic - OR Licensure must be obtained by start via Oregon Health Licensing Office (HLO). - Okay to have temporary valid certification through American Board of Genetic Counseling (ABGC) or American Board of Medical Genetics and Genomics (ABMGG). - Masters Degree in Genetic Counseling Required Counselor will support Genetic Counseling Genetic Screening and High Risk Patient Management for Heredity Cancer/conditions. Patients are supported through prevention as well as Oncology initiatives. Counselor will as a consultant/resource for patients and physicians. Counselor will be in a supporting role working under Medical Geneticist (MD). Schedule 4x8 Days Monday Tuesday Thursday Friday. Contract Length: 13 Weeks No weekends or on-call requirements. Local candidates or travelers approved. Required Education: Masters Degree from a genetic counseling training program approved by the American Board of Genetic Counseling Required Experience: 1 year of experience dealing with genetic disorders including: cancer risk assessment ordering and interpreting genetic test results and providing psychosocial assessment and support. Preferred Experience: 1 year working with patients at risk for hereditary cancer.
