Job Description:

Job Title: IT Project Coordinator Data Center Build

Location: 7725 Lake Road Barker NY Onsite 5 days a week

Duration: 6 Months

Rate: $30-35/hr on W2

Position Overview:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and highly organized IT Project Coordinator to support the planning and execution of a large-scale data center build. This role will work closely with project managers infrastructure engineers vendors and construction teams to ensure timelines deliverables and resources are aligned for successful project delivery.

The ideal candidate has strong coordination skills experience in IT infrastructure environments and the ability to manage multiple workstreams in a fast-paced cross-functional setting.

Key Responsibilities:

• Support the Project Manager in planning executing and closing data center build projects
• Coordinate across IT network facilities and construction teams to ensure alignment on project milestones
• Track project timelines deliverables risks and dependencies using tools such as Jira MS Project or Smartsheet
• Schedule and facilitate project meetings including status updates vendor calls and stakeholder reviews
• Maintain accurate project documentation including project plans RAID logs (Risks Assumptions Issues Dependencies) and status reports
• Assist with procurement coordination for hardware networking equipment and infrastructure components
• Work with vendors and suppliers to track equipment delivery installation schedules and issue resolution
• Monitor project budgets and assist with cost tracking and reporting
• Ensure adherence to project governance change management and compliance requirements
• Support testing deployment and commissioning activities for data center infrastructure
• Identify and escalate risks or delays to project leadership proactively

Required Qualifications:

• 2 5 years of experience in project coordination or project support roles
• Experience working in data center environments
• Knowledge of data center components (servers racks power cooling network equipment)
• Familiarity with project management methodologies (Agile Waterfall or hybrid)
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities
• Excellent communication and stakeholder coordination skills
• Proficiency with project management and collaboration tools (Jira Confluence MS Project Smartsheet Excel)

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience supporting data center builds migrations or infrastructure deployments
• Understanding of ITIL processes or change management frameworks
• PMP CAPM or similar project management certification (or working toward certification)
• Experience working with vendors and third-party contractors
