Position Purpose:

We are looking for a techno-functional tester to join our agile squad. As a key member of the squad the primary purpose of the candidate to safeguard product integrity by designing and executing test plan and ensure that the application releases meet the requirements on functional performance and regression based on the acceptance criteria set by the PO. Candidate will work with the business analyst test lead proxy product owner to define the appropriate testcases test data and execution according to the test strategy and plan.

Responsibilities:

Direct Responsibilities

• Tester for FT division to work across 4 squads (AEOI Tax statement IRS871M GTS)

• Creation of good quality test scenarios for manual testing reviewing and validating them with BA and inputting in ALM

• Creation and/or verification of test data in SIT environment

• Execution of manual and automation test cases issuing reports (DSR RCA etc.) and sharing with the test manager on a timely manner.

• Execution of end-to-end integration testing in collaboration with other applications teams.

• Testing effort estimation based on the requirements from BA’s PM’s.

• Contribute to specification and running of test automation script validating results.

• Contribute to analysis of defects and identification of root cause and pattern.

• Execution of performance test scenarios propose efficient ways to do performance testing.

• Participate and contribute to all Agile / Scrum rituals of the squad (daily standup grooming sprint planning retrospective meetings)

• Reporting to test lead & manager on the test activities progress and data gathering to generate metrics.

• Automation script development & maintenance knowledge on the automation framework.

• Experience on Selenium/UFT/Postman HP ALM Octane & JIRA.

Contributing Responsibilities

• Coordinating various upstream or downstream application teams requesting test data and support while execution of test cases.

• Identify and contribute the testcases for automation script development and frequent enhancements.

Technical Competencies:

• Experience working in scrum team Proficient in test life cycle management using JIRA ALM Octane.

• Manual Functional testing with various techniques on Identifying required test data or mockup required test data

• Integration testing with Stubs and Drivers End to End testing regression testing.

• Identifying regression test cases from existing pool of functional test cases or create them if they are not available.

• Design and develop test cases for complex projects test data preparation and test execution.

• Design and develop test cases using functional requirements Mockups / wireframes & technical specification documents.

• Hands-on experience in testing applications for cross browser testing

• Hands on experience in writing performance test cases.

Specific Qualifications:

• Minimum 3 to 5 years of relevant experience in software testing in Banking domain (preferably Wealth management Regulatory modules)

• Hand on experience in Batch application testing.

• Experience in automation using Java Selenium frameworks and Performance testing using JMeter will be considered as added advantage.

Skills Referential (Required knowledge skills and abilities)

Technical Skills:

o Hands on experience in testing web applications back-end testing (DB) interfaces.

o Proficiency in HP ALM Octane JIRADB

o Good Expertise in SQL clients and queries Unix commands Batch processing

o Knowledge / Experience in JMeter / Selenium

o Hands on experience in API testing with Postman tool.
