We are currently partnering with a modern regional hospital in the Hunter Valley to recruit General Practitioners with Emergency Medicine experience to join a high-performing Emergency Department as Visiting Medical Officers.
This is a great opportunity to build a long-term Emergency Medicine career within a large contemporary district hospital (Tier 2 facility) with approximately 300 beds servicing a rapidly growing regional population.
The Emergency Department is a busy well-supported unit that:
- Sees approximately 150 patients per day with around one-third paediatric presentations
- Maintains an admission rate of 2022% across multiple specialties
- Acts as a referral hub for several surrounding rural hospitals
- Focuses strongly on patient flow clinical decision-making and safe care pathways
- Operates with a collaborative senior medical team and structured supervision model

Requirements
- MBBS or equivalent with current AHPRA registration
- Fellowship of RACGP (FRACGP) or equivalent
- Experience or strong interest in Emergency Medicine
- Completion of or willingness to undertake Emergency Life Support training
- Commitment to clinical excellence teamwork and ongoing professional development
