Real Estate
We were an early entrant among institutional investors in real estate including traditional private real estate (brick-and-mortar assets) public equities real estate investment trusts and real estate-related debt instruments.
RE Transaction Management
The Transaction Management team sits within GIC Real Estate Business Management function and is responsible for providing end to end transaction execution and financing support for GICs Real Estate transactions. This team ensuresefficient deal execution financing governance and process consistencyacross the transaction lifecycle from funding and drawdowns to divestments and loan repayments.
What will you do as a AVP in the Transaction Management team
- Drive end-to-end transaction execution working closely with Real Estate investment teams Capital Markets teams Finance Tax and Legal to ensure timely and efficient deal closings.
- Serve as the main point of contact for internal and external counterparties (e.g. lenders legal counsels custodians JV partners and KYC/AML agents) to coordinate documentation funding and closing deliverables.
- Monitor and test loan covenants prepare compliance certificates and supporting documentation to ensure timely reporting to lenders and adherence to financing terms.
- Assist the investment and capital market teams to perform selected deal-related internal compliance tasks.
- Serve as the go-to resource for all process and policy queries advising the investment and capital market teams on approval processes and deal closing requirements.
- Manage the deal and financing pipeline ensuring accurate tracking and reporting of deal progress and closing status.
- Support periodic reviews of internal processes to enhance efficiency and / or controls benchmarking processes to market best practices.
- Proactively consider and implement process improvements drive technology initiatives to achieve scalability and operational efficiency.
What makes you a successful candidate
- Good Degree in Finance Mortgage Lending Legal or related fields with minimum 7 years relevant working experience.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills capable of building strong partnerships with internal teams and external partners / lenders.
- Proven ability to coordinate and project manage across multiple stakeholders including investment finance tax and legal teams.
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
- Inquisitive self-starter who thrives in a fast-paced environment and can manage competing priorities.
- Strong time management and creative problem-solving capabilities to handle complex transactions and tight deadlines.
- Team player with a collaborative mindset and a focus on continuous improvement.
- A good understanding of the commercial governance and legal terms of real estate deal documents loan documentation and / or covenant frameworks would be advantageous.
