Highly visible change agent who champions an impactful and sustainable cultural transformation using robust world class methods and tools. Leads the Lean transformation efforts by implementing an enterprise-wide lean management system and leads a variety of organization-wide project teams using a variety of approaches and methods that drive critical organization outcomes. Develops standardized approaches for lean deployment and manages direct staff activities and improvement efforts of key improvement staff across the enterprise.
Essential Duties/Responsibilities
Responsible for oversight of both direct reports and the related activities of key decentralized improvement resources. Mentors guides and coaches all improvement resources to expand their capabilities and build depth in the organization relative to lean transformation and world class approaches to achieving organizational excellence.
Works directly and collaboratively with all levels of leadership to support alignment action planning and deployment with measurable and demonstrated results towards organizational goals. Works closely with all members of leadership to establish standard review and escalation leadership approaches towards advancing organizational goals.
Supports a culture of performance improvement and change management using Lean and other world class tools.
Collaborates with internal customers to integrate their voices into performance improvement and organizational priorities. This includes partnering with them to assess analyze and prepare recommendations for their operational and service/business needs.
Coaches teaches and mentors all levels and disciplines in the use and application of robust lean tools and methods that drive organizational excellence.
Uses measurement and analytic methods to transform data into information that is understandable and actionable.
Leads and facilitates robust cross-functional workgroups to systemically analyze complex problems draw relevant conclusions and successfully implement appropriate solutions using proven world class methods.
Develops and executes appropriate communication strategies to ensure project department and organizational success with respect to Lean strategies and tactics.
Position Core Competencies
Deep understanding of world class improvement tools and methods
Deep understanding of coaching team building and communication methods
Understanding of larger transformational/organizational excellence models
Understanding of complex Healthcare/correctional care systems (a plus)
Advanced communication skills vision all levels of world class improvement tools and methods (basic and advanced)
Expert facilitation capability
Expert coaching teaching mentoring capabilities
Capable of inspiring teams to change
Qualifications
Bachelors degree in business or healthcare related field
Lean Certification
Minimum 5 years management/leadership experience in leading lean efforts
Minimum 5 years facilitating groups and coaching leaders (ideally using world class methods and models)
Minimum 5 years as a lean practitioner
Preferred- healthcare experience experience in correctional care/safety net care organizations
Travel is required
