BrightSpring Health Services is seeking a Finance Intern to join our team and support the Finance Department with day-to-day operations and strategic projects. This internship is a great opportunity for a student pursuing a degree in Finance Economics Accounting or a related field to gain real-world experience in corporate finance financial analysis budgeting and reporting.
As a Finance Intern you will work closely with experienced finance professionals and gain exposure to the financial decision-making process reporting tools forecasting methods and internal controls. This role is ideal for a highly motivated individual with strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
Responsibilities
Assist in preparing financial reports forecasts and dashboards for internal stakeholders
Support budgeting and financial planning processes
Conduct financial analysis on company performance trends and key metrics
Assist with monthly quarterly and annual closing procedures
Help reconcile financial discrepancies by collecting and analyzing account information
Maintain financial databases and track key performance indicators (KPIs)
Support audit preparation by gathering and organizing financial documentation
Participate in special projects and process improvement initiatives as assigned
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure accurate and timely financial data
Assist in creating presentations and materials for internal financial reviews
Qualifications
Currently pursuing a bachelors or masters degree in finance Accounting Economics or a related field
Minimum 3.0 GPA (on a 4.0 scale)
Completed introductory finance and accounting courses
Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel; familiarity with financial modeling is a plus
Detail-oriented with excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Ability to work independently and within a team environment
High level of integrity and ability to maintain confidentiality
Experience with financial software or ERP systems (e.g. Oracle SAP Workday) is a plus
