Job Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented Seasonal Payroll Clerk to support payroll operations during peak business periods. This temporary position assists with accurate and timely payroll processing while ensuring compliance with California labor laws. The ideal candidate is organized dependable and able to handle confidential information with discretion.
Job responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:
- Assist with processing weekly payroll for hourly employees
- Enter review and verify employee timecards and payroll data for accuracy
- Support audits of payroll records including wages deductions and taxes.
- Ensure compliance with federal state and company payroll policies.
- Respond to employee payroll-related questions in a timely and professional manner.
- Assist with onboarding tasks related to payroll in (direct deposits tax forms change of address)
- Provide general administrative support to the payroll and HR teams.
- Maintain strict confidentiality of all payroll and employee data
QualificationsQualification:
- Education and/or Experience High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Language Skills Effective written and verbal communication skills. Bilingual a plus.
- Computer Skills Familiar with Microsoft Suite (Word Excel Outlook etc.) data entry and Payroll systems
- Typing Skills 10-Key a plus.
