Job Summary

As one of the UKs largest holiday park operators were looking for an experienced and commercially minded Group Head of Tax to lead and shape our tax strategy and youre passionate about driving excellence influencing at senior level and delivering best-in-class tax management in a fast-paced environment this is your opportunity to play a key role in our Group Finance you will be the end-to-end management of all direct and indirect tax matters across the businessEnsure accurate and timely delivery of tax returnsOversee and develop a small but specialist tax function including line management of the Indirect Tax ManagerReview and sign off tax provisions and disclosures for statutory accounts (with support from external advisors)Lead on tax matters throughout the audit processDeliver robust tax forecasting identifying risks and opportunities to optimise tax efficiencyMaintain strong tax governance and controls including Senior Accounting Officer (SAO) compliancePartner with external advisors to deliver strategic tax projects and advisory initiativesManage the tax budget including external spendDrive continuous process improvements to enhance tax compliance and reportingProvide clear and timely communication to senior stakeholders including Board-level reportingCollaborate cross-functionally with Finance and IT to improve systems and reporting capabilitiesAct as a trusted advisor responding proactively to business tax issuesAbout accountant and/or CTA qualified with significant post-qualified experienceStrong background in tax advisory or in-house group tax with exposure to both direct and indirect taxes (preferred)Proven ability to lead influence and develop othersCommercial mindset with a focus on driving business improvementsHighly analytical with strong attention to detailStrong organisational skills with a proactive self-starting approachExcellent communication skills with the confidence to engage at all levelsComfortable working in a fast-paced evolving environmentSolid IT and systems awarenessSo why Parkdean ResortsWell besides the one-of-a-kind team culture stunning locations across the UK and the chance to work with the UKs largest holiday park organisation we can offer:The chance to develop your skills and boost your career across our 65 parks weve got your back when it comes to training!Youre never on your own with our Employee Assistance Programme!
