Job Summary

This posting is for current Student Employees who have worked in the Dish Room at Watterson Dining for a minimum of one full semester.

The Dish Captain is a student leadership position that provides on-shift supervision and operational support within the dishroom. This role serves as a working leader actively performing dishroom duties while directing and supporting fellow student employees to ensure efficiency safety cleanliness and compliance with sanitation standards. Dish Captains act as a key point of contact during their shift and help maintain smooth dishroom operations.

Pay Rate

$16.00/hour

This position is subject to a criminal background investigation and if applicable an employment history review based on University Policy 3.1.30 and any offer of employment is contingent upon you passing a satisfactory criminal background investigation and/or an employment history review. In addition all appointments are contingent upon proof of eligibility for employment at Illinois State University to perform the required duties described above on your scheduled start date. Illinois State University student employees are restricted to no more than 28 hours per week of on-campus employment for all positions held.
