Engineer

At DoubleTree by Hilton Augusta we are committed to delivering exceptional guest experiences through quality service comfort and attention to detail. We are seeking a skilled and dependable Engineer to join our team and play a critical role in maintaining the safety functionality and overall appearance of our property.

In this role the Engineer will be responsible for performing preventative maintenance troubleshooting equipment issues and completing repairs across guest rooms public spaces and back-of-house areas. This position requires a proactive hands-on professional who takes pride in ensuring all hotel systems operate efficiently while supporting a safe and welcoming environment for both guests and team members.

The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of general maintenance practices including HVAC plumbing electrical and mechanical systems along with the ability to respond promptly to maintenance requests and operational needs.

• Assist with maintaining hotel performing minor and routine painting plumbing electrical wiring and other related maintenance activities.
• Replace air conditioner filters.
• Tend air conditioners cooling towers and boilers to provide heat cool air and hot water for guests.
• Maintain standards of quality guest service.
• Tend to pool area including chemical balancing cleaning etc.
• Increase level of guest satisfaction by delivery of an exceptional product through employee development.
• Respond and resolve guest requests complaints or questions in a courteous and timely manner.

• Must have a comprehensive knowledge of all hotel departments and functions.
• Must have a knowledge of applicable Federal state and local health safety and legal regulations.
• Must have good mathematical and computer skills.
• High school education and relevant training and experience preferred.
• CPR training and first aid training preferred.
• Additional language ability preferred.
