As a Security Officer Armed Patrol Screening in Jacksonville FL you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Utilities and more. As an Armed Patrol Officer with Allied Universal at a utility location you will monitor and patrol assigned areas remain visible to help deter security-related incidents and support access activity while delivering outstanding customer service and communication. This role is ideal for a dependable professional who values teamwork acts with integrity and brings an agile reliable approach to protecting people property and daily operations.

Job Schedule:

What Youll Do:

• Provide customer service to employees contractors and visitors by carrying out site-specific security-related procedures access protocols and/or emergency response activities at a utilities location.
• Respond to incidents alarms and critical situations in a calm problem-solving manner documenting observations and communicating with supervisors and/or local responders as needed.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols of buildings grounds perimeter areas parking areas and other restricted locations remaining alert to unusual activity and/or potential hazards.
• Monitor entry and exit points verify credentials and authorizations and help to deter unauthorized access to operational and infrastructure areas.
• Support site operations by preparing reports maintaining post records and following Allied Universal and client-directed security-related policies and procedures.

Minimum Requirements:

• Possess one or more years of armed security-related law enforcement and/or military experience.
• Provide proof of a high school diploma or GED as required by the client.
• An armed guard card and/or license is preferred.
• Be comfortable using a computer and/or tablet is preferred.
• Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal state and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid drivers license will be required for driving positions only.
