We are currently looking for passionate individuals to join our team working across both our Adult and Childrens Services.
What Were Looking ForWe value a mix of formal training and hands-on experience. To be successful in this rewarding multi-generational role you will ideally have:
Experience: Relevant experience in a care or support role. We particularly encourage applications from people with lived experience and those who identify as Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander.
Licensing: A current NSW Drivers Licence and a willingness to drive.
Safety & Compliance: * A valid First Aid & CPR Certificate.
A paid Working with Children Check (WWCC).
An NDIS Workers Check (NDISWC).
Willingness to be listed on the Residential Care Workers Register (RCWR).
Flexibility: Availability to work across a 24/7 roster including mornings evenings and sleepover shifts.
As a Support Worker at Westhaven your day is diverse. You will provide essential care to both adults and children adapting your approach to meet the unique needs of every individual. Your responsibilities include:
Personalised Care: Assisting clients of all ages with personal care daily living skills and emotional support.
Community Engagement: Planning and attending appointments school activities or social outings to foster skill development and inclusion.
Mentorship: Providing a safe nurturing environment for children while empowering adults to maintain independence.
Administration: Completing daily case notes incident reports and essential administrative tasks.
- Competitive Pay - Base rate of $34.58 $37.73/hr plus casual/shift loadings (SCHADS Award) and 12% super.
