Job Summary
The Opportunity:
This position serves as an administrative services coordinator in the Mathematics Assistance and Learning Lab (MALL). This position is responsible for managing the administrative aspects of the MALL and formulating and recommending policies and procedures to effectively administer the program and provide an environment that is conducive to learning. This position is responsible for the administration of the online learning environment for courses taught in the MALL. Supervision and training of MALL employees is required. This position serves on the MALL committee which has additional responsibilities like choosing textbooks and arranging presentations by publishers.
Classification Title: Academic Program Coordinator III
Responsibilities:
Oversee the hiring initial and ongoing training scheduling timekeeping and evaluation of MALL.
Schedule student testing sessions in accordance with School guidelines to ensure maintenance of testing records execution of proper testing environment and provision of SAS accommodations for students as applicable.
Administration of the MALL attendance system including creation and maintenance of the student database. Creation and dissemination of daily usage reports.
Act as university liaison for MALL operations including but not limited to maintenance of policy and procedure. Maintenance of appropriate School email accounts.
Administration of the online course environment in the MALL including the creation and maintenance of course environments and the user database. Initiate the automated enrollment of students into the online system enroll users including faculty tutors and students who are not able to be enrolled via the automated process. Generation of user reports multiple times each semester and as required.
Administration of the tutoring environment in the MALL; including explaining and/or clarifying academic policies and procedures to students; making appropriate referrals to other campus resources as necessary.
Serves on the MALL committee which has additional responsibilities like choosing textbooks and arranging presentations by publishers.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelors or Masters degree and 4 years of relevant experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience pursuant to Fla. Stat. 112.219(6).
Preferred Qualifications:
Bachelors degree in a related field and experience supporting or coordinating academic programs within a higher education environment.
Experience managing the administrative operations of an academic support unit or learning lab including the development or implementation of policies and procedures.
Demonstrated experience supervising training scheduling and supporting student employees.
Experience administering online learning testing or tutoring environments including maintaining user databases enrollments and usage or compliance records.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications (Excel Word Outlook Teams) with experience generating reports and maintaining accurate electronic documentation.
Experience using Workday or other student learning management scheduling or program administration systems.
Strong organizational and communication skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities collaborate with faculty and committees and support a student-centered learning environment.
