Job Summary
Heres What You Need
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- PCT training program (TX CNA NHA NAHP NCCT accredited community college program or Texas Healthapproved program) OR EMT with equivalent military or civilian training OR nursing student who has completed fundamentals OR one year of applicable experience in lieu of certification.
- Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) required prior to providing independent patient care and maintained quarterly.
- Crisis Prevention Intervention (CPI) training required within 90 days of hire and maintained annually.
- Strong organizational interpersonal verbal and written communication skills.
What You Will Do
- Provide patient care and assistance according to the plan of care and patient and family preferences.
- Collect document and report patient data; support admission transfer and discharge processes.
- Perform technical procedures safely and accurately.
- Collaborate with nurses to adapt care for diverse populations and cultural needs.
- Maintain a clean safe environment and proactively meet patient and visitor needs.
- Demonstrate teamwork flexibility and effective communication across disciplines.
- Participate in quality improvement activities and adhere to safety goals.

Patient Care Technician Surgical Trauma PCU & Burn Unit

Work hours: Full-Time Nights (6:45 PM 7:15 AM) 36 hours/week. Rotating weekends and holidays required.
Justin 5 Surgical Trauma PCU & Burn Unit highlights:
- 35-bed integrated Surgical Trauma Progressive Care Unit (PCU) and Burn Unit.
- Opening with 18 surgical trauma PCU beds and 9 burn beds with plans to expand to the full 35 beds.
- Provides higher-acuity surgical trauma and burn care including a dedicated hydrotherapy procedure room.
- One integrated unit where team members support both surgical trauma and burn patient populations.
