About this Opportunity
Reporting to the Assistant Dean Career Services for Undergrad and Specialty Masters the Employer Services Manager is responsible for the overall employer relationship management logistics and execution of Foster Career Services related recruitment and employer operations. The Employer Services Manager manages employer recruitment activities employer/student marketing strategy and supports the front office operations of Foster Career Services. Works closely with the Employer & Alumni Development Manager. Position is located at UW Seattle campus with the option to work remote up to two days. Regularly work 40 hours per week between 8:00am-5:00pm Monday through Friday providing support to employers feedback to students and student groups. Occasional evening hours are required in conjunction with coordinating employer events and programs representative to the Career Center and Foster School of Business.
Key Responsibilities
Recruiting Management (55%)
Ownership of all facets of the Centers campus recruitment program including:
- Manage recruiting relationships on-campus recruitment scheduling event coordination and event marketing. Manage the scheduling of recruiters students interview schedules information sessions and database integrity of both Handshake and Salesforce CRM.
- Work closely with Career Center Director and Employer & Alumni Development Manager to ascertain and support the employers recruiting needs and connect them with the best services and opportunities available a task requiring in-depth and regularly updated knowledge of University and industry needs.
- Identify needs and cultivate engagement opportunities with existing employers forging new relationships with companies partnering with alumni faculty and Foster departments. Develop network expansion of current employer base.
- Develop alumni relationships and engagement plans with undergrad and specialty masters alumni.
- Manage and coordinate employer promotions and registrations for recruiting events connecting students to employers.
- Manage the day-to-day operation of Handshake and Salesforce CRM databases; responsible for database integrity analysis and reporting related to employer and student activity. Manage all Handshake events and interview approvals. Troubleshoot Handshake issues for students and employers.
- Oversee and assist in providing work instruction of student worker support for on-campus recruiting activities.
- Manage recruiting events and employer information sessions.
- Serves as primary recruiting liaison with UW Career Center MBA Career Center and other campus career offices to assure seamless delivery of services to students and employers
- Manage employer relationships to determine their needs and assist with recruitment strategy whether independently or in partnership with Career Center Director and Employer & Alumni Development Manager.
- Help employers identify visibility and branding opportunities on campus and in various departments within Foster School of Business.
- Work with other Foster departments on employer relations and recruitment activities.
Career Center Operations Management (10%)
- Hire train and manage social media student worker. Provide direction for front desk student employees assisting with event support.
- Oversee the survey of employer and student activity; summarize and analyze results for Career Center annual reports. Manage the Handshake student tracking database. Run interpret and analyze statistical reports for Career Center annual reports.
- Create policy and procedures for reporting systems. Develop training materials and conduct training on various systems. Establish policies and procedures for front office and support the operations of Career Center staff members.
- Assist with collection and analysis of student destination survey. Collect evaluate and assess report data for statistics.
Marketing Strategy (20%)
- Develop and execute marketing campaign strategies for recruiting events and career programs for employer and student audiences.
- Create and manage announcements and promotions to students using e-Newsletter and other marketing communications. Analyze click rate data and engagement activity. Work with career coaches on student communication strategy and promotions.
- Oversee the social media strategy and promotion through social media channels including LinkedIn and Instagram
- Keep abreast of marketing trends and implement strategies to increase center activity. Develop strategies to ensure effective communication between students recruiters and the career center.
- Manage website updates and pages. Serve as liaison to Marcomm. Primary manager of Employer Relations web sections and event calendaring.
- Provide work direction for the marketing student worker.
Undergrad program activities and special projects (15%)
- Serve and participate in Foster and University committees as assigned or designated.
- Conduct and assist with special projects and activities including outreach efforts orientations and other activities throughout Foster Business School and UW community. Represent EY Center for Career Advancement to various organizations on and off campus.
- Other duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelors Degree
- 2 years of experience in relationship management customer service project coordination recruiting support student services event coordination or similar experience.
- Applicants who do not meet these qualifications WILL NOT be forwarded to the Hiring Manager.
Preferred Qualifications
- Prior engagement with employer relations at the collegiate level or recruiting industry experience
- A high degree of comfort with technology and data; particularly databases
- Event coordination experience and/or managing logistics
- Strong experience analyzing data and reports; problem solving and analysis background
- Experience in recruiting university relations marketing business development event coordination and/or customer relationship management
- Enjoys working with a diverse employer and student body
- Able to make independent decisions based on University and Foster School policies and procedures
- Experience with Handshake and Salesforce
- Familiarity with website function newsletter promotions and social media platforms
Working Conditions
- Work to meet employer requests on a short timeline; involves reaching out to campus partners researching and analyzing data and compiling recruitment plans.
- Highly effective planning scheduling time management and follow-through skills required to coordinate and implement recruiting programs in a fast paced high volume environment.
- Required to meet non-negotiable deadlines in conjunction with creating and implementing events.
- Independent judgment and individual discretion involved with developing employer relationships and making recruitment program recommendations structuring schedule and determining follow-up.
