Job Title: Occupational Therapist (OT) Acute Care Hospital
Location:Walla Walla WA
Position Overview:
We are seeking an experienced and compassionate Occupational Therapist (OT) to join our acute care team at a Level III Trauma Center. This position involves providing direct care to patients within the hospital setting focusing on functional rehabilitation and recovery. The OT will be responsible for evaluating planning and implementing interventions for patients to optimize their independence and quality of life.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide occupational therapy services to patients in the acute care setting.
- Conduct patient assessments develop treatment plans and implement interventions.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary healthcare teams to provide integrated care.
- Educate patients and families about strategies to enhance independence and support recovery.
- Maintain accurate patient documentation using Epic charting system.
- Rotate through different units within the hospital as needed.
Job Details:
- Shift: Monday to Friday 7:00 AM 5:00 PM (10-hour shifts).
- Weekly Hours: 40 hours per week.
- Contract Duration: 13 weeks.
- Weekend Requirement: Rotate weekends on a 6-week basis.
- On-Call: Not required.
- Floating: Yes position will float between units.
- Patient Ratios: 1 OT to 10 patients.
Qualifications:
- Must have acute care experience.
- WA State Occupational Therapy License in hand.
- IPR experience is a plus.
- 1st-time travelers welcome (1-year experience required).
- 48-hour work weeks are not approved for this position.
