This position is based in the Division of Gynecologic Specialties and focuses on reproductive infectious diseases including sexually transmitted infections HIV prevention and cervical cancer prevention to reduce disparities in womens health outcomes. The fellow will work under the mentorship of Dr. Jenell Coleman Chair of Obstetrics and Gynecology and a nationally recognized clinician scientist in reproductive infectious diseases and cervical cancer prevention. A mentorship team will be created to deepen the research experience.

Job Description

Position Overview

The fellowship is designed to prepare early career investigators for independent academic careers. Depending on the project the fellow may gain advanced training in clinical research design implementation science health equity research or large-scale data analysis. Ongoing projects include prospective clinical studies secondary analysis of electronic health record data and implementation science research focused on improving HIV prevention strategies in obstetrics and gynecology clinical settings.

The fellow will play a central role in study design protocol development IRB submissions data management statistical analysis in collaboration with biostatistics manuscript preparation and grant writing. The fellow will have the opportunity to lead first author publications and develop an independent line of research aligned with departmental priorities.

The fellowship is for one year with the possibility of an additional year based on performance and funding availability.
