Job Summary
Overview
As an Orthodontic Assistant you play an integral role in supporting our clinical team and assisting the orthodontist with patient care. This position will support multiple office locations in Round Rock Austin and Leander giving you the opportunity to work with a dynamic team while serving a broader community.
Youll help deliver exceptional orthodontic care while creating positive memorable experiences for our patients.

Note: Prior orthodontic assisting experience is preferred but not required. We are happy to train the right candidate who brings strong customer service skills a positive attitude and a willingness to learn.

Responsibilities
- Clinical Support: Prepare orthodontic treatment areas sterilize instruments and assist the orthodontist during procedures such as bonding wire changes and banding.
- Patient Care: Welcome and comfort patients explain orthodontic procedures and provide guidance on appliance care oral hygiene and post-treatment instructions.
- Orthodontic Procedures & Diagnostics: Take and process digital X-rays photos and impressions/scans for study models and appliance fabrication. Assist with fitting and adjustment of bands brackets and wires.
- Compliance & Safety: Ensure adherence to infection control and sterilization protocols maintain patient confidentiality and comply with all clinical and safety regulations.
- Records & Documentation: Maintain accurate and detailed patient records charting orthodontic progress and treatment notes. Support scheduling and patient intake as needed.
- Emergency Preparedness: Assist in managing dental and medical emergencies by maintaining current CPR certification and ensuring the availability of emergency supplies and protocols.
Qualifications
Qualifications:
- Must hold a valid Registered Dental Assistant (RDA) registration in Texas
- No previous orthodontic or dental assisting experience required
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Friendly professional demeanor with a strong focus on patient care
- Eagerness to learn and grow within the role
