Compensation: $44.27 $61.99/hour (based on experience)

Position Overview

Navitas Healthcare LLC is seeking an experienced Emergency Department Nurse Manager to lead clinical and operational functions within a high-acuity fast-paced environment. This role is responsible for driving excellence in patient care optimizing department performance and fostering a collaborative team-oriented culture. The ideal candidate brings strong leadership experience in the ED or ICU setting and demonstrates the ability to manage complex situations while developing and supporting nursing staff.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee daily operations of the Emergency Department
• Lead mentor and support nursing staff including charge nurses
• Ensure delivery of safe high-quality patient-centered care
• Manage patient flow staffing and resource allocation
• Conduct staff rounding including occasional night shift engagement
• Address performance concerns and lead difficult conversations professionally
• Collaborate with hospital leadership and interdisciplinary teams
• Drive quality improvement patient safety and compliance initiatives
• Support staff engagement development and retention strategies
• Provide direct patient care as needed

Required Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license
• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) within 60 days of hire
• NIH Stroke Scale certification within 90 days of hire
• Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) within 90 days of hire
• ATCN or TNCC certification within 6 months of hire

Experience Requirements

• Minimum 3 years of recent acute care ED leadership experience (within the past year) including Charge Nurse experience

• Strong ICU Charge Nurse experience with leadership capability
