Job Summary
Job Title: Speech Therapist (Acute Care)
Location: Onsite
Type: Local & Travel Accepted
Shift: Day Shift 8:00 AM 4:30 PM
Schedule: 13 Weeks Minimum 2 weekends per 4 weeks (preferred 4 weekends)
Position Overview:
The Speech Therapist provides acute care rehabilitation services across hospital units treating patients with speech language cognitive and swallowing disorders under physician orders.
Qualifications:
Minimum 1518 months recent SLP experience Required
Active Georgia SLP License Required
CCC-SLP Certification Required
AHA BLS Certification Required
Acute care experience Preferred
MBS/FEES experience Preferred (not required)
Responsibilities:
Evaluate and treat speech language cognitive and swallowing disorders
Manage dysphagia and complex ICU/neurological cases
Provide therapy for stroke respiratory and surgical patients
Conduct swallow evaluations and rehabilitation plans
Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary teams
Document patient progress and therapy outcomes
Support hospital-wide acute care rehab services
