Job Summary
Job Title: Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT)
Location: Saratoga Springs NY
Position Overview:
We are seeking an experienced Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) to join our Respiratory Therapy team. This role involves providing therapeutic respiratory care to patients in a variety of settings ensuring optimal respiratory function and assisting with life-saving interventions. The RRT will work with a multidisciplinary team to deliver high-quality patient care focusing on both adult and pediatric populations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide respiratory therapy to patients with various pulmonary conditions.
- Administer respiratory treatments such as oxygen therapy ventilation and aerosolized medications.
- Perform diagnostic tests such as arterial blood gas analysis and pulmonary function tests.
- Assist with life support measures including intubation and mechanical ventilation.
- Monitor patient progress and make adjustments to treatment plans as needed.
- Use the EPIC charting system for accurate patient documentation.
- Collaborate with physicians nurses and other healthcare professionals to deliver comprehensive care.
Job Details:
- Shift: Day shift 3x12-hour shifts (6:45 AM 7:15 PM).
- Weekly Hours: 36 hours per week.
- Contract Duration: 13 weeks.
- Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend.
- No block scheduling flexibility in shift assignments is required.
Qualifications:
- 2 years of respiratory therapy experience required.
- New York State Respiratory Therapy License (NY is not a compact state).
- BLS ACLS NRP and PALS certifications required.
- EPIC experience is required.
