Special Announcement: This position will begin in Lafayette IN and will transition to Lebanon IN by the end of the year.

The EHS Associate III supports safety initiatives and compliance programs with minimal supervision. This role requires strong analytical skills and the ability to coach others on safety practices.

Job Duties/Responsibilities may include but are not limited to:

  • Support incident investigations and root cause analysis.
  • Develop and maintain PPE matrices.
  • Write and review safe job procedures.
  • Lead KAIZEN events and continuous improvement efforts.
  • Manage training records and safety equipment databases.
  • Ability to come in to provide off shift support
  • Facilitate training.
  • Environmental:
    • Input track and post all data and metrics related to Environmental numbers
    • This includes but is not limited to: Waste Management Industrial Pallet Oscar Winski Safety Kleen Iron Mountain
    • Inputting all data into Resource Advisor
    • Spill or waste investigations tracking of any reports and countermeasure activities
    • Disposal of hazardous waste and non-hazardous waste following regulations and DOT certifications
    • Develop distribute and coordinate monthly environmental campaigns (create slides audit inputs drawings for winners swag ordering etc.)
    • Track spill kits supplies and use of materials
    • Track eye wash kits supplies and use of materials
    • Track supplies in Flammable Cabinets following Global Harmonized System (GHS) for tracking new products SDSs labels and proper disposal of products
  • Guardian Program:
    • Input track train communicate all aspects of the Guardian Program and metrics
    • This includes but is not limited to: checklists swag payments reminders new guardians training distribution of vests and hats constant updating of spreadsheet communication to Guardians Guardees and Section Management
  • Safety Champions:
    • Creates challenges assignments schedules and provides valid input to all champions on a weekly and monthly basis. Adding schedules to calendars coordinating invites attending all meetings and taking notes for follow up progress.
    • The Green Team members have been - (add to calendars send out invites attend all meetings and take notes)
    • Employee list- inputting new hires changes in departments management and updating when terminated
    • Stamps assigned to Associates order and distribute
    • Lockers- Assign audit and clean out for terminated or no longer needed
    • Termination packages for Associates no longer with company scan and track
    • Contractor Safety: Maintains lists and updates to Certificates of Insurance
    • Safety Campaigns: Develop distribute and coordinate monthly safety campaigns (create slides audit inputs drawings for winners swag ordering etc.)
    • Safety Daily 1:1 calendar focus items and weekly focus slides. (Develop distribute and coordinate monthly)
    • Fastenal PPE machine access for all new hires changes to lists for TLs and Management
    • Canteen machines troubleshooting communication updates
    • Stop to Fix- Develop presentation slides and posts collects STF submission papers or electronic submissions inputs data and communicates with divisional IT for support
    • Equipment inspection logs: Maintains tracks files and update all forms for forklifts cranes etc.
    • News Flush: Develop distribute and coordinate monthly slides
    • Support Security coverage when away from desk
    • Support Onboarding coverage during vacation time off

Physical Qualifications:

  • Periodically lift parts up to 35 pounds individually or 70 pound as team lift
  • Periodically bending reaching and squatting while performing tasks
  • Consistent usage of required PPE for task being performed
  • Work in an environment with frequently changing temperatures
  • Periodically work at heights of up to 30 feet from the floor

Basic Qualifications:

  • Experience in EHS
  • Experience in training and coaching employees.
  • Experience in Microsoft Office 365 (Teams Outlook etc.)
  • Working knowledge of OSHA EPA HazCom and fire safety standards.

Additional Information:

  • Relocation is not offered for this position
  • 1st Shift Mon-Fri 7-3:30p
  • Hourly rate begins at $22.45/hour

Summary Pay Range:

$25.85 - $30.85
