The Radiology Technologist performs a variety of diagnostic imaging procedures while ensuring patient safety comfort and high-quality care. This role plays a critical part in supporting accurate diagnoses through proper imaging techniques and protocols.
Key Responsibilities
Imaging & Clinical Duties
Perform diagnostic imaging procedures as ordered by physicians
Ensure high-quality imaging while adhering to safety standards
Operate radiologic equipment and apply proper positioning techniques
Patient Care & Safety
Serve as a primary point of contact for patients during imaging procedures
Ensure patient identification comfort and safety at all times
Follow radiation safety and infection control protocols
Collaboration & Workflow
Collaborate with physicians and healthcare teams to support diagnostic needs
Maintain efficient workflow and timely service delivery
Complete accurate documentation in accordance with facility standards
Required Qualifications
High School Diploma or GED
Registered Radiographer (ARRT) Required
State Registered Radiologic Technician
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification within 30 days of hire
Experience Requirements
New graduates welcome (must have passed state boards)
