About This Opportunity:

Reporting to Director of International Sales the Business Development and Sales Manager International Sales will lead our pork sales efforts in markets to develop and execute sales strategies that achieve sales targets. This role requires a strong understanding of the international dynamics excellent leadership skills and a proven track record in sales management.

Responsibilities:

  • Act as the Primary Liaison between Canada Packers Head Office and our local teams in international offices ensuring seamless communication and alignment on corporate strategy.

  • Provide the local offices with accurate market-based pricing benchmarks and margin targets ensuring our global sales align with overall GP objectives.

  • Ensure that the specific technical requirements of the North Asian markets are strictly followed at the plant level

  • Monitor market trends competitor activities and customers needs to adjust sales strategies accordingly. Generate profitable growth for Canada Packers products by aligning customer needs with production capabilities.

  • Prepare Monthly Business Review Reporting on sales forecasts performance metrics and business opportunities.

  • Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures as well as local regulations.

  • Resolve order and inventory problems by investigating data and history and generating actionable solutions. Manage product claims and inventory.

  • Participate in daily market calls and provide synopsis of international market trends.

  • Be a continual learner by participating in industry and technical knowledge skill development. Build learnings of plant and pork product specifications and requirements.

  • Travel to Brandon Lethbridge plants as required to both maintain oversight on product CTQs as well as lead customer visits to our plants.

  • Travel to international markets as required.

  • Maintain flexibility in working hours worked to enable communication with customers and international offices. Evening and early morning calls are required

  • Participation in the preparation of marketing materials for existing and new business activities

  • Maintain good working relationships with Finance and Logistics departments to ensure on-time shipment and arrivals of our products.

Skills & Experience:

  • Post-secondary education in business business administration or supply chain and logistics preferred.

  • Ability to build relationships and cater message to various levels in the organization (Master Data Sales Marketing Finance Supply Chain).

  • Ability to communicate in a clear and concise manner with excellent presentation and negotiation skills.

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while being proactive and performance driven.

  • Strategic thinking skills with the ability to understand strategic priorities.

  • Highly motivated; capable of delivering winning results work and able to work collaboratively with others.

  • Ability to travel to various customers on a regular basis to be in tune with the market perform reviews and provide internal updates on our products as well as those of the competition.

  • Ability to adapt to working hours in various time zones; willing to handle work outside of normal office working hours when required.

  • Advanced skills in the use of Microsoft Office Suite; experience within an SAP environment is an asset.
