Role Overview
The Plant Controller is responsible for overseeing all financial activities at the manufacturing site partnering closely with plant leadership to drive operational performance cost control and financial accuracy.
This role serves as the primary finance partner to operations in a high-volume engineered manufacturing environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead monthly quarterly and annual close processes for the plant
- Develop and manage plant-level budgets and forecasts
- Analyze manufacturing variances (labor material overhead)
- Maintain standard costing and inventory valuation processes
- Partner with operations on production performance and cost improvement initiatives
- Provide financial insight into throughput scrap and efficiency metrics
- Ensure compliance with internal controls corporate policies and audit requirements
- Support capital planning and investment analysis
- Drive process improvements across accounting and plant operations
Qualifications
- Bachelors degree in Accounting or Finance
- 712 years of experience (manufacturing required)
- Strong background in cost accounting and inventory management
- Experience in aerospace defense or regulated manufacturing environments preferred
- ERP experience (SAP Oracle or similar)
- Proven ability to partner with operations leadership
