On-Call/Call-Outs as needed
Position Summary:
The City of Grants is seeking a dependable and hardworking individual to join our Utilities/Public Works team as a Laborer in the Pipes Division. This position supports the installation repair and maintenance of water and sewer systems throughout the City.
What Youll Do:
- Assist with installation and repair of water and sewer lines
- Maintain pump stations pipelines and surrounding areas
- Perform general labor including digging lifting and equipment operation
- Respond to emergency call-outs as needed
- Support customer service-related work orders

Requirements
Minimum Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or GED
- Valid New Mexico Drivers License (or ability to obtain)
- Construction maintenance or related experience preferred
- Ability to perform physically demanding work in all weather conditions
Requirements:
- Must pass a pre-employment drug test and background check
- Must be available for emergency call-outs evenings and weekends as needed
- Must be able to lift push and pull heavy materials (100 lbs with assistance)
