About the role
Lead the delivery of specialised physiotherapy services across Acute Aged Care ensuring high-quality assessment treatment and care planning for older patients presenting with complex and acute health needs.
Offer senior clinical supervision and mentorship to junior physiotherapy staff guiding their development ensuring safe practice and maintaining consistent care standards across the service area.
Provide advanced clinical assessment and decision-making supporting timely discharge planning and contributing to efficient patient flow.
Drive service evaluation improvement and development by collecting and analysing activity data and outcome measures participating in research and quality initiatives and collaborating with internal and external stakeholders to enhance Aged Care physiotherapy services.
Provide specialist physiotherapy advice across the organisation supporting multidisciplinary teams in the management of complex older patients and offering expertise to other hospital areas.
Provide input to the multi-disciplinary team planning quality and research activities within the defined area.
About you
AHPRA-registered physiotherapist with advanced clinical knowledge and significant senior experience in Acute Aged Care in an inpatient setting.
Demonstrated high-level clinical reasoning and decision-making skills with the ability to manage complex acutely unwell older patients and support appropriate care pathways.
Proven capability in coordinating and providing clinical supervision mentoring junior staff and supporting safe consistent service delivery.
Strong organisational and prioritisation skills effectively managing competing clinical and administrative demands in a fast-paced environment.
Track record in service evaluation and improvement incorporating evidence-based practice data analysis WHS principles and multidisciplinary collaboration to enhance physiotherapy services.
