Job Purpose:
The Aircraft Ground Support Equipment (GSE) Mechanic maintains and supports the operation of equipment and machinery used to provide ground-handling services at airports and airbases ensuring safety and operational readiness. The mechanic performs maintenance in accordance with established standards and diagnoses and resolves technical issues that may arise during operations to ensure efficient workflow.
Responsibilities :
- Maintain aircraft ground support equipment (GSE) used at airports and airbases.
- Perform scheduled preventive inspections to ensure equipment efficiency and prevent unexpected breakdowns during flight service.
- Respond promptly to technical and mechanical faults on the ramp to ensure continuity of ground operations.
- Coordinate with ramp operations teams to schedule maintenance without impacting peak flight times.
- Train new technicians and operators on the correct and safe use of heavy equipment to prevent incidents.
- Comply with all applicable regulatory requirements and safety procedures during operation.
Qualification :
- A relevant academic qualification and experience in maintaining ground support equipment (GSE) or a related field.
- Ability to troubleshoot mechanical problems effectively and quickly under the pressure of flight schedules.
