Senior Bodily Injury & Liability Claims Adjuster

WCF an A rated insurance carrier growing across the western United States is looking to add a skilled claims professional to our expanding team. Our Commercial Claims Department has an immediate opening for a Bodily Injury & Liability Claims Adjuster at either the mid or senior level to join the Commercial Auto team at our Sandy Utah headquarters.

This full-time exempt position offers the opportunity for hybrid work (Tuesday through Thursday in-office). We are looking for someone who embodies WCFs core values: doing the right thing being great at your job and helping others succeed.

Responsibilities

The Liability/Bodily Injury Claims Adjuster manages a commercial auto liability claim caseload of moderate to high complexity and exposure from first assignment to conclusion of the claim process. This includes appropriate investigation analysis and explanation of coverage applicable to the claims elements. The person in this position communicates claims decisions and key developments to policyholders claimants and attorneys.

Qualifications

The ideal candidate for this position will have:

• Bachelors degree or appropriate combination of insurance industry designations;
• At least five years of commercial liability claims adjusting experience;
• Understanding of the Unfair Claims Practices Act policy contracts and other insurance principles;
• Familiarity with claims management systems and claims estimating software systems;
• Sound literacy in the medical automotive and liability terminology and concepts;
• Strong communication skills;
• Organization time-management and decision-making skills;
• Proficiency in the Microsoft Office suite and Windows operating system.
• Valid Drivers License.

An internal candidate should have six months in their current position acceptable job performance and must notify their current supervisor that they have applied for the position.

Compensation

Expected salary for this position is dependent upon education experience complexity of claims knowledge and individual qualifications however generally follows the below scale:

Mid-Level Commercial Adjuster: $70000 to $87000 annually.
Senior Level Commercial Adjuster: $80000 to $97000 annually.
