Pay: $28.00 $38.00/hour (based on experience)

Position Overview

Navitas Healthcare LLC is seeking a skilled Certified CVOR Surgical Technologist to support cardiovascular and thoracic surgical procedures in a fast-paced operating room environment. Working under the supervision of the circulating OR RN this role is responsible for preparing surgical suites maintaining sterile technique and assisting surgeons to ensure safe efficient and high-quality patient care.

Key Responsibilities

Surgical Support & Clinical Duties

• Prepare and organize surgical instruments equipment and supplies
• Assist surgeons during cardiovascular and thoracic procedures
• Perform surgical counts with the circulating nurse before and after procedures
• Support patient positioning transport and pre-operative preparation

Sterilization & Equipment Management

• Clean sterilize and maintain surgical instruments and equipment
• Prepare operating rooms for scheduled procedures
• Ensure strict adherence to sterile field protocols and safety standards

Patient Care & Team Collaboration

• Provide patient-centered support across all populations in the OR
• Collaborate effectively with surgeons nurses and interdisciplinary teams
• Contribute to efficient workflow and optimal resource utilization

Quality & Professional Development

• Maintain a safe compliant and quality-driven work environment
• Participate in ongoing education and professional development
• Respond promptly and professionally to patient and team needs

Required Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Surgical Technology program
• Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) Required
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (within 30 days of hire)

Experience Requirements

• Prior Operating Room (OR) experience required
• 12 years of Cardiovascular OR (CVOR) experience preferred

Additional Details

• Schedule: Full-Time Days or Mixed Shifts Rotating Weekends
• Shift Options: 10 or 12-hour shifts (start time around 6:30 AM)
• On-Call: Required based on schedule (On-call pay applicable)
• Shift Differentials:
  • Evenings: $3.15/hour
  • Nights: $4.00/hour
• Sign-On Bonus: Up to $15000
• Relocation Assistance: Available (case-by-case basis)
• Facility Type: Large acute care hospital and trauma center
