Qualifications
- Current Drivers License required.
- Must possess a good driving record clear of the following for the past thirty-six (36) months from time of hire:
- Conviction of a felony involving a motor vehicle.
- Conviction of sale handling or use of illicit drugs.
- Conviction of an alcohol or drug-related offense while driving.
- Drivers license suspended or revoked.
- Conviction of three (3) or more speeding or other moving violations.
- Emergency Medical Responder (EMR) certification required within six (6) months of hire.
- CPR ACLS and PALS required as applicable to assigned areas and/or locations per Logan Health Guidelines.
- Possess knowledge of community roads and local addresses as applicable to assigned area(s).
- Possess knowledge of standard radio transmission codes preferred.
- Promotes excellence through setting high standards and providing high quality outcomes.
- Ability to act with integrity kindness and exhibit empathy.
- Excellent organizational skills detail-oriented a self-starter possess critical thinking skills and be able to set priorities and function as part of a team as well as independently.

- Excellent verbal and written communication skills including the ability to communicate effectively with various audiences.
- Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to manage sensitive and confidential situations with tact professionalism and diplomacy.
- Possess and maintain computer skills to include working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite and ability to learn other software as needed.
Job Specific Duties:
- Completes a mechanical checklist prior to each shift to ensure ambulance is in working order and ready to transport patients. Reports any mechanical issues to appropriate personnel per department protocol.
- Ensures ambulance remains in ready order; properly stocked fueled and clean per infection control guidelines and department protocol.
- Assists with loading and unloading of patients per department protocol and as applicable to assigned area(s).
- Safely transports patient to appropriate medical facility per department protocol.
- Accurately and efficiently completes documentation per department protocol.

Logan Health operates 24 hours per day seven days per week. Schedules are set to accommodate the requirements of the position and the needs of the organization and may be adjusted as needed.
PRN positions (also referred to as Casual As Needed or Per Diem) at Logan Health offer flexibility and are designed to provide coverage during busy periods employee absences and vacations making them an excellent opportunity to support the team as needed. PRN employees can participate in a matching 401(k) plan and have access to the Employee Assistance Program. Additionally they may qualify for hourly differential pay for certain shifts or hours offering extra compensation based on department-specific scheduling needs.Pay rates and scheduling practices may vary by department.
