Key Responsibilities:

- Ensure safe appropriate and cost-effective medication therapies for patients

- Review and interpret physician orders to prepare medications accurately

- Detect and resolve therapeutic incompatibilities to optimize patient outcomes

- Dispense medications by compounding packaging and labeling pharmaceuticals

- Provide education and information to patients regarding their medication therapy

- Counsel patients on medication usage potential side effects and interactions

- Advise customers on medication brands medical equipment and healthcare supplies

- Offer specialized services to assist patients in managing conditions such as diabetes

Skills and Qualifications:

- Valid pharmacist license and state pharmacy board certification

- Proven experience in a pharmacy setting preferably in a clinical or hospital environment

- Strong knowledge of pharmacology medication management and safety protocols

- Excellent communication and patient counseling skills

- Ability to interpret medical prescriptions and detect potential drug interactions

- Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills
