Where You Will Work:
LifeShare Carolinas coordinates the recovery and distribution of organs eyes and tissues for transplantation and medical research across Western North Carolina. Based in Charlotte we facilitate donation in 25 counties. Additionally LifeShareeducates the public about donation and provides support for the families of our organ eye and tissue donors during and after donation.
Were Looking For:
- High School Diploma or GED required
- Highly preferred: Bachelors in Public Health Communications or Marketing or similar field
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Proficiency in MS Office programs and ability to learn new software programs
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
Additional Requirements
- Must be willing and able to attend events on evenings and weekends as needed
Primary Responsibilities
- Serves as a representative ofLifeSharesCommunity Services team coordinating and executing department and organization initiatives.
- Establishes and maintains relationships with community leaders and organizations.
- Develops strategies and programs aimed at engaging diverse populations in supporting organ eye and tissue donation.
- Represents LifeShare Carolinas at community events encouraging participants to learn more and register as organ eye and tissue donors.
- Identifies the needs of the community through direct interaction surveys and other methods as needed.
- Tracks evaluates and reports on outreach programs effectiveness.
- Manages all aspects of volunteer program including recruitment training coordination and retention.
- Assists with LifeShare Carolinas communication initiatives and activities that build awareness of the organizations brand and mission among teammates and community.
- Prepares clearconciseand focused communication/correspondence.
- Routinely integrates with Community Services manager to ensure messages are communicated as intended provide updates on project progress and/or difficulties and brainstorm content ideas and potential new partnerships.
