Position Summary
AmeriVet Veterinary Partners is seeking a proactive resourceful and detail-orientedHR Generalistto support day-to-day human resources operations across our growing network of veterinary practices. This role serves as a key partner to field leadership and clinic teams delivering comprehensive HR support across employee relations compliance onboarding and core HR programs.
The ideal candidate brings a strong foundation in HR best practices thrives in a fast-paced multi-site environment and is passionate about creating a positive and compliant workplace experience that supports both team members and business objectives.
Key Responsibilities
- Serve as a trusted HR partner and primary point of contact for employees and managers across assigned regions providing timely guidance and support
- Manage employee relations matters including conducting investigations resolving workplace concerns and recommending appropriate compliant solutions
- Support the full employee lifecycle including onboarding offboarding transfers and status changes ensuring a seamless and positive employee experience
- Ensure compliance with federal state and local employment laws as well as company policies and procedures
- Partner with leadership on performance management processes coaching conversations and employee engagement initiatives
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date employee records and ensure data integrity within the HRIS system
- Support benefits administration including employee education and responding to inquiries in a timely manner
- Assist in the development communication and implementation of HR policies procedures and best practices
- Collaborate cross-functionally with Talent Acquisition Payroll and other HR teams to support evolving business needs
- Contribute to HR projects and initiatives aimed at improving processes enhancing employee experience and driving organizational effectiveness
Qualifications
- Bachelors degree in Human Resources Business Administration or a related field
- 35 years of progressive HR Generalist or related experience
- Strong working knowledge of employment law compliance requirements and HR best practices
- Experience supporting multi-site or field-based organizations preferred
- Excellent communication problem-solving and interpersonal skills with the ability to build trust and influence at all levels
- Demonstrated ability to manage sensitive and confidential information with discretion and professionalism
- Proficiency with HRIS systems and Microsoft Office (Excel Word PowerPoint)
Preferred Qualifications
- PHR or SHRM-CP certification
- Experience in healthcare veterinary or other multi-location environments
- Familiarity with HRIS platforms such as Workday ADP or similar systems
This role will have a hybrid work schedule with up to 2-3 days in the office.
