Our client a well-established mechanical services company serving the San Jose area is seeking an experienced Journey-Level Plumbing Technician to join their team.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair plumbing issues including leaks clogs water pressure problems and fixture failures
• Install and replace pipes valves water heaters fixtures and related equipment
• Perform preventive maintenance on residential and commercial plumbing systems
• Read and interpret blueprints schematics and technical manuals
• Ensure all work meets local code requirements and passes inspection
• Communicate clearly with customers regarding scope of work findings and recommendations
• Maintain a clean safe and organized job site and service vehicle
• Complete accurate service documentation and work orders

Requirements

• Valid California Journeyman Plumber license
• Minimum 4 years of hands-on plumbing experience
• Strong knowledge of California plumbing codes and compliance standards
• Ability to work independently and manage time effectively across multiple jobs
• Valid California drivers license with a clean driving record
• Physical ability to lift up to 50 lbs work in confined spaces and stand for extended periods
• Strong communication and customer service skills

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in both residential and commercial plumbing environments
• Backflow prevention certification
• Water heater and tankless system experience
• Familiarity with hydro-jetting or drain camera equipment
