Physical Therapist Responsibilities

• Conduct initial and ongoing evaluations of residents strength mobility balance and endurance

• Identify barriers to independence and functional movement

• Develop individualized treatment plans to improve mobility strength and daily function

• Provide interventions for recovery from injuries surgeries or illnesses

• Assist residents in performing activities of daily living (walking dressing transferring)

• Implement exercises to improve coordination flexibility and overall physical function

• Educate residents and staff on safe mobility and fall prevention

• Recommend and train residents on the use of assistive devices

• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team including nursing OT and SLP

• Maintain accurate documentation to ensure compliance with healthcare regulations
