Infusion Clinic Nurse (RPNRN)
Job Summary

Position Type: Part-time
We are seeking a Registered Nurse or Registered Practical Nurse (RN or RPN) with experience in clinic based infusion therapy (preferably iron and/or biologic infusions) to join our growing interdisciplinary team working out of our new Ottawa based clinic.
The successful candidate will deliver high-quality patientcentred care in our nurse-led infusion clinic and will also have the option to pick up additional community nursing visits.. The position is ideal for a nurse who values clinical autonomy variety in their practice and the opportunity to build strong therapeutic relationships with clients across the care continuum.
Key Responsibilities
Clinic Infusion Services- Deliver safe evidence-based infusion therapy (e.g. iron infusions; biologics as service expands) in a clinic setting
- Perform comprehensive preinfusion assessments including medication verification consent review and baseline vitals
- Initiate monitor and discontinue peripheral IV therapy
- Monitor clients during and postinfusion recognizing and responding to adverse reactions promptly
- Accurately document all aspects of care including vitals infusion details lot numbers and patient tolerance in accordance with clinic policies and regulatory requirements
- Collaborate with prescribing physicians nurse practitioners pharmacists and clinic leadership to ensure safe and coordinated care
- Participate in quality safety and pharmacovigilance processes related to infusion therapy
- Provide inhome nursing visits for clients requiring clinical support in the community
- Deliver services such as wound care medication administration chronic condition monitoring posthospital followup and patient education
- Assess home environments for safety and provide client and caregiver education to promote independence and prevent complications
- Communicate effectively with the broader care team including primary care providers and internal clinical leadership
- Complete timely and accurate documentation following each community visit
Qualifications & Requirements
- Current registration in good standing with the College of Nurses of Ontario (CNO
- At least 12 months experience in infusion therapy and IV initiation (preferably in a clinic setting) essential
- Clinic Community or home care nursing experience is an asset
- Strong assessment critical thinking and documentation skills
- Comfortable working independently while maintaining close communication with a clinical team
- Valid drivers licence and access to a reliable vehicle for community visits (as required)
- Current CPR certification and uptodate immunizations
