Sydney Childrens Hospital (SCH) Randwick one of Australias leading specialist centres for children has entered an exciting new chapter with the opening of the Bilima Building in November 2025. This state-of-the-art redevelopment enhances our ability to deliver world-class care to seriously ill and injured children from across NSW and beyond.
We are seeking nurses to join our 18-bed tertiary Paediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU) caring for critically ill infants children and young people requiring highly specialised and complex care supported by a skilled multidisciplinary team.

For nurses new to the PICU environment we offer a tailored Specialist Transition Program (STP) designed to build your confidence knowledge and clinical capability in intensive care nursing.
As part of the Sydney Childrens Hospitals Network SCH provides a comprehensive range of paediatric and adolescent medical and surgical services caring for children with a wide variety of complex conditions. Located in Sydneys eastern suburbs and co-located with Prince of Wales Hospital and the Royal Hospital for Women our campus offers easy access to beaches amenities and public transport.

Responses to the questions below:
- Current Authority to Practice as a Registered Nurse with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA).
- Recent critical care experience and/or recent paediatric experience.
- Demonstrated excellent verbal written and interpersonal skills.
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary team.
- Effective time management skills
- Computer literacy.
- Capacity to work a seven (7) day rotating roster including public holidays and reasonable overtime.
