The Priory Learning Trust is seeking a dedicated Pastoral Support Officer to join the team at Priory Community School An Academy. This is an exciting opportunity for an individual who is passionate about student success and eager to thrive in a collaborative environment.
About the role
- Support students daily by managing behavioral concerns conducting incident investigations and assisting vulnerable groups (SEND PP CLA) to ensure a safe and inclusive learning environment during lessons and social times.
- Act as a key link between the school and the community by communicating with parents and carers conducting home visits and collaborating with external agencies to improve attendance and student wellbeing.
- Work alongside Senior Leadership and Pastoral teams to implement academy-wide policies and maintain a commitment to professional development and rigorous safeguarding standards.
About you
You will:
- Hold 5 GCSEs including English and Maths graded A* - C (or equivalent).
- Experience of working in a busy and varied role preferably in an education setting.
- Have the ability to work under pressure and use own initiative.
- Be patient and emotionally resilient.
- Have excellent verbal and written communication skills with accuracy and attention to detail.
