Job Summary: | This position provides accounting financial and business operations support within the Facilities Management Department at CU Denver Anschutz. Planned areas of support include Bookstore Post Office Event Management System Food Services Denver Parking Sustainability Fleet Management Space and Asset Inventory and Gift Card Program. This position will assist or serve as backup for Utilities and Anschutz Parking. Areas of responsibility may be updated as necessary. Key Responsibilities: Accounts payable o Create purchase orders o Review and submit assigned shopping carts o Advise on appropriate procurement methods and obtain approvals based on thresholds and nature of goods & services Accounts receivable o Book and reconcile AR o Invoice customers o Process checks and cash deposits and notify customers of outstanding payments Create journal entries Update monthly financial reports Assist with fiscal year-end processes Process safety boots and glasses reimbursement Assist the Accounting Manager and Team Lead with other accounting duties as needed |
Work Location: | Hybrid this role is eligible for a hybrid schedule of 3 days per week at CU Anschutz (Aurora CO) and as needed for in-person meetings. |

Qualifications: | Minimum Qualifications: A bachelors degree from an accredited institution in business administration business finance accounting or related field. Substitution: 4 years experience in finance or accounting OR an associates degree in a related field and 2 years experience in finance or accounting. Applicants must meet minimum qualifications at the time of hire. Preferred Qualifications: Experience utilizing Microsoft Excel to develop revise and maintain spreadsheets and databases for reporting and tracking purposes. Knowledge of accounting standards including GAAP and FASB. Knowledge Skills and Abilities: Ability to communicate effectively both in writing and orally. Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with employees at all levels throughout the institution. Outstanding customer service skills. Ability to analyze financial transactions for propriety and escalate issues when needed. Detail oriented. |

Anticipated Pay Range: | The starting salary range (or hiring range) for this position has been established as $25/hour. The above salary range (or hiring range) represents the Universitys good faith and reasonable estimate of the range of possible compensation at the time of posting. This position may be eligible for overtime compensation depending on the level. |
