Essential Functions

• Fleet Maintenance: Diagnose repair and maintain GFLs diverse Diesel and CNG fleet including engine components emission systems and steering mechanisms.

• Systems Repair: Perform standard electronic diagnostics and repair complex electrical and hydraulic systems.

• Inspections: Conduct thorough DOT and brake inspections to ensure every vehicle meets safety regulations before hitting the road.

• Operational Performance: Execute work orders as scheduled by shop leadership ensuring repairs are completed efficiently and accurately.

• Diagnostics & Testing: Test drive vehicles to diagnose malfunctions and verify that all repairs meet GFLs high performance standards.

• Administrative Accuracy: Maintain digital records complete work orders and order parts daily with a high degree of detail.

• Safety & Environment: Maintain a clean professional work area and strictly adhere to all OSHA and DOT safety regulations.

Qualifications & Requirements

• Experience: 3 years of hands-on diesel maintenance experience (CNG experience is a major plus).

• Certifications: * Required: Brake Safety Certification and 609 A/C System Certification.

  • Preferred: Active ASE certifications.

• Licensing: Class A or B Commercial Drivers License (CDL) preferred or the ability to obtain one within six (6) months of hire.

• Technical Aptitude: Ability to read and interpret safety rules maintenance instructions and technical manuals. Proficiency with diagnostic software and general computer literacy.

• Communication: Strong interpersonal skills to collaborate with team members and communicate effectively with vendors.

Physical & Mental Demands

• Ability to stand kneel crouch or crawl for extended periods while performing repairs.

• Sustained mental and visual focus for diagnostic and safety inspection tasks.

• Ability to reach above shoulders lift up to 50 lbs and push/pull up to 100 lbs.

• Comfortable operating heavy trucks and equipment in a fast-paced shop environment.
