Job Summary
About the role
selectability is seeking an acting regional manager from the 24 August 2026 - 05 October 2026. In this vital role you will report to the general manager and lead our dedicated team to enhance the mental wellbeing of our community.
Key responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Operations: ensure the smooth running of all operations related to NDIS services including community access support coordination supported independent living medium and short term accommodation within the Townsville region
Leadership: continue to be an active part of the leadership team maintaining close collaboration with the general manager
Relationships: maintain and foster relationships with key stakeholders across clinical community and primary health services as well as local and state government agencies and private industry
Budget: maintain budget management practices while growing the recipient base and ensuring operations are profitable
Workforce: continue recruiting training mentoring coaching and supporting local staff to maintain a strong capable workforce
Compliance: uphold compliance with all relevant industry standards
On-Call Availability: maintain readiness to be on-call and available to respond to any queries

About you
To be considered for this rewarding role you will have:
- demonstrated experience in leading teams programs and services particularly NDIS-related services
- be well-versed in industry standards and regulatory requirements.
- excellent communication skills both verbal and written including presentation skills
- highly developed analytical problem solving and numerical skills including the ability to compile analyse data and prepare reports
- a demonstrated high level of attention to detail with a consistent approach
- a demonstrated ability to prioritise
- ability to work under minimal supervision with the capacity to exercise initiative in the application of work processes and procedures and establish objectives and outcomes
- a demonstrated ability to show empathy and compassion
- high level organisational administrative and project management skills
- a proven ability to think critically and approach challenges with innovation
Role Requirements
- a Positive Notice Working with Children (blue card) (or the ability to obtain)
- a Child Safety & Personal History Screening check
- NDIS Worker Screening Clearance (or the ability to obtain)
- NDIS Worker Orientation Module Quality Safety & You completion certificate (or the ability to obtain)
- a current minimum P1 C class Queensland drivers licence
- a roadworthy vehicle with comprehensive insurance
- out of hours work may be required from time to time
- some travel to selectability sites will be required from time to time
- current nationally recognised first aid and CPR certificates (or the ability to obtain)
