Navitas Healthcare LLC is is seeking a skilled Phlebotomist with inpatient experience to join our laboratory team on a short-term contract. This role is ideal for certified phlebotomists who can provide accurate and efficient blood collection services while supporting patient care in a hospital setting.
Key Responsibilities:
Perform venipuncture and other specimen collection according to hospital policies and procedures
Follow infection control and safety protocols strictly
Accurately label and document specimens
Communicate effectively with patients to ensure comfort and cooperation
Maintain a clean and organized workspace
Adhere to 1199 union rules and hospital guidelines for short-term assignments
Qualifications:
Phlebotomy certification required
Minimum 1 year of inpatient experience
Ability to work mid-shift 3:00 PM 11:30 PM with alternating weekends
Knowledge of safety and infection control protocols
Excellent communication and patient interaction skills
COVID-19 and flu vaccination required (no exemptions)
