Shift: Mid Shift 3:00 PM 11:30 PM 5x8 schedule (flexibility and alternating weekends required)
Orientation: 12 hours (non-billable)
Job Description:
Navitas Healthcare LLC is is seeking a skilled Phlebotomist with inpatient experience to join our laboratory team on a short-term contract. This role is ideal for certified phlebotomists who can provide accurate and efficient blood collection services while supporting patient care in a hospital setting.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform venipuncture and other specimen collection according to hospital policies and procedures
- Follow infection control and safety protocols strictly
- Accurately label and document specimens
- Communicate effectively with patients to ensure comfort and cooperation
- Maintain a clean and organized workspace
- Adhere to 1199 union rules and hospital guidelines for short-term assignments
Qualifications:
- Phlebotomy certification required
- Minimum 1 year of inpatient experience
- Ability to work mid-shift 3:00 PM 11:30 PM with alternating weekends
- Knowledge of safety and infection control protocols
- Excellent communication and patient interaction skills
- COVID-19 and flu vaccination required (no exemptions)
