Schedule:

• Night Shift: 5x8-hour shifts
• 6:00 PM 2:30 AM
• Sunday Thursday (Block Schedule)
• Weekend requirement: Yes

Compensation

• Travel Rate: $28 $30/hour ($1050 $1125/week) based on experience
• Local Rate: $25 $27/hour ($937 $1012/week) based on experience

Position Overview

A reputable healthcare facility is seeking an experienced Sterile Processing Technician to support surgical services by ensuring proper sterilization preparation and distribution of medical instruments. This role is critical in maintaining infection control standards and supporting safe patient care.

Responsibilities

• Decontaminate clean and sterilize surgical instruments and medical equipment
• Prepare and assemble instrument trays and surgical case carts
• Operate sterilization equipment and ensure proper functioning
• Maintain accurate records of sterilization processes and logs
• Ensure compliance with infection control standards and regulatory guidelines
• Inspect instruments for cleanliness functionality and defects
• Collaborate with surgical and clinical teams to meet procedural needs

Required Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of experience as a Sterile Processing Technician
• Active certification required: CBSPD or HSPA (IAHCSMM)
• Active certification must be valid at the time of submission (no pending certifications)
• First-time travelers will not be considered
