Job Summary
Operate the Zinc 4 line efficiently and produce product within customer specifications.
Duties/Responsibilities
- Review work orders from supervisor for start of shift
- Visually inspect line and barrels for signs of wear and tear of low volume
- Starts up and shuts down Zinc line properly and in sequence.
- Select proper Zinc program based on customer specifications
- Determine weight loads for each barrel based on part size and overall customer order using calculator for basic multiplication and division functions
- Ensure machines are loaded and operating properly
- After program runs inspect parts using X-Ray technology to ensure proper zinc coating
- Operate Forklift
The employer may require an employee to perform other duties as assigned on a temporary and infrequent basis.
Qualifications
Required Skills/Abilities
- Good verbal and written communication skills.
- Basic computer literacy.
- Organized with great attention to detail.
- Ability to manage and work on a computer
- Ability to communicate with others.
- Actively listen to instructions understand them and ask questions
- Meets commitments and assigned due dates.
- Monitors operations to ensure processing is working properly.
- Use of logic and reasoning to identify improvement opportunities and alternative
Education and Experiences
- High School diploma or equivalent and/or up to one month of related experience
- Speak read and write English preferred
- Ability to add subtract multiply and divide to calculate correct weight for each load.
- Fork lift license
- High attention to detail
- Able to work in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to create and maintain cooperative team building relationships.
- Ability to meet deadlines and work under pressure.
