DIRECT HIRE OPPORTUNITY!!!

Rate: $130-150k/yr.

Shift:1^st shift M-F flexible start time 7am 8am and OT as needed

Key Responsibilities & Qualifications

• 8 years of accounting experience with construction accounting strongly preferred and prior supervisory or management experience required
• Bachelors degree in Accounting or Finance preferred
• Oversee 5 employees: 2 APs 2 ARs 1 Staff Accountant
• Strong knowledge of GAAP financial reporting and job costing principles
• Lead monthly quarterly and annual close processes ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting
• Oversee all accounting functions including AP AR payroll entries job costing and account reconciliations
• Manage budgets forecasts and financial analysis to support operational performance and decision-making
• Ensure compliance with GAAP tax regulations audits and construction-specific reporting requirements
• Supervise and develop accounting staff while maintaining strong internal controls
• Review and manage WIP reporting revenue recognition and cost allocation across multiple projects
• Support contract review billing disputes collections and insurance/bonding processes
• Partner with leadership to identify financial risks analyze variances and drive process improvements
• Oversee compliance programs including certified payroll 401(k) and regulatory filings
• Advanced Excel skills and experience with accounting systems (Sage or similar preferred)
• Strong analytical communication and leadership skills with the ability to thrive in a deadline-driven environment
